Professor Abdul Qadir Ibrahim is a Polymer Chemist by training, an Environmentalist by vocation and a socio-environmental activist by disposition. He has had almost 40 years of experience in financial, material and human resources management in the university system; 20 in top management. Equally, he had been embedded in community service and civil society activities within and outside the university system for over 30 years, with pioneering role in many instances.
Professor Ahmed Sabo obtained a Ph.D in Environmental Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi; M.Sc. in Environmental Management from University of Derby, U.K and First Class B.Sc. Degree in Botany from University of Maiduguri. Prof. Sabo has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in the Department of Environmental Management, ATBU and has published several academic papers in local and international journals in the field of Environmental Management. He was twice Head of Department Environmental Management Technology and Deputy Dean, Faculty of Environmental Technology. At present, Prof. Sabo is a Deputy Director Agro-meteorological Center in ATBU, Bauchi. He is a member of various professional bodies including Nigerian Environmental Society and Environmental Prof Ahmed Sabo SISDev 8 MEMBER BOARD OF TRUSTEES Management Association of Nigeria. As an Environmental Consultant, Prof. Sabo has carried out several consultancy jobs which include Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the construction of airports at Lafia and Damaturu in Nasarawa and Yobe States respectively; Environmental Auditing of World Bank assisted Fadama projects in Bauchi, Yobe and Taraba States; Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for seismic survey and oil exploration in the Benue trough, sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for several World Bank assisted Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Projects in Yobe State. Over the years, Prof. Sabo has played an active role in NGO activities and participated in the execution of several projects sponsored by the European Union and UNDP. Prof. Sabo is a member, Board of Trustees of SISDev and doubles as the Ag. Programme Coordinator of the Energy and Environment thematic Area.
Dr. Ahmed Chinade Abdullahi is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Department of Environmental Management Technology of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is a B.Sc. degree holder in Agriculture (Soil Science) from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria (1990-1996) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Bayero University Kano (1999-2000). He also has a Masters degree in Environment and Development from the University of Manchester, U.K (2003-2004), and a Ph.D. degree in Environment and Development from the National University of Malaysia (2012-2016). Dr. Abdullahi specializes in environmental soil science, environmental impact assessment, sustainability science, climate change and disaster management. He teaches several under-graduate and postgraduate courses. He has also supervised and mentored several under-graduate and Dr Ahmed C Abdullahi SISDev 10 MEMBER BOARD OF TRUSTEES postgraduate students over the last 15 years. He consults for local and international organizations such as the World Bank, EU, several corporate bodies and MDAs. A serial grant winner, Dr Abdullahi is a beneficiary of Ford Foundation International Fellowship, Zochonis grant at University of Manchester, TETFund study and research grants, EU-Inside, UNDP Small grant among others. An ardent environmentalist, he co-founded the Ford IFP Scholars Alumni Association and was the protem National Director (2007- 2009), Lifeline Conservation (2001-2003), UNIMAID Conservation Club (1994-1996), Environment and Development Foundation (2006-2010) and Savannah Institute for Sustainable Development (SISDev)(2018-Date). At SISDev, he serves as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees and oversees the Greening Project. Dr. Abdullahi has attended the Leadership for Social Justice Institute in Chiang-Mai Thailand (2004) as a participant and the Washington D.C Institute as a facilitator (2006). Dr. Abdullahi is widely published and has attended numerous local and international conferences. He is a member of various professional bodies and is happily married with children. He enjoys travelling, reading, table-tennis and environmental campaigns.
Jummai Bappah is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru. She has significant experience working in Development. She has worked on various projects including those on Community Development, Skills development and Governance. She has worked in various roles including Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist, Capacity Building Specialist and Social Development Adviser. She has worked and consulted for various organisations including the UK Department for International Development and the US Agency for International Development. She was also a pioneer staff of the Development Exchange Centre (DEC), Bauchi. Her special interest at SISDev cuts across the thematic areas with particular focus on equity. His last appointment was the Brigade Commander 31 Brigade Minna, Niger State. He had his operational experiences in Liberia, the Bakassi Penisula, and West Darfur Sudan. The retired senior officer had visited several countries in Africa and Asia. He disengaged from the Nigerian Army on 30 April 2016.

Rabi Ekele has over 15 years, experience in project management and implementation in a range of thematic areas. Her specific areas of expertise include Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) strategy development and implementation, advocacy, public & media relations. She has worked extensively with, and built capacity of government agencies, the media, civil society and community organizations in creating demand as well as improving quality access to health and education services for women and girls. Titi Yakubu holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable International Development, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and is an alumnus of international Fellowship Program. She is a seasoned organization development practitioner with over 29 years work experience in public service, development and humanitarian operations management with focus on economic empowerment of women, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. Other areas of special interest to her heart include livelihood, food security, resilient and integrated programming, early recovery and transitional interventions. She is a good manager of diversity of people, implementation models as well as local and internationally funded projects. She has worked directly with communities and women’s groups especially the less privileged and the vulnerable. She has vast experience in poverty reduction, strategic planning and participatory management and entrepreneurship development skills for women and community based organizations. Titi Yakubu has held several top management positions as a development practitioner, including the chairmanship of the boards of several Not-for-Profit Organizations. She’s a recipient of several awards including Ford Foundation Fellowship, ICON of Humanitarian Service and Peace Ambassador by African youth Assembly for Peace, among others.
Malam Nasiru Umar is a graduate of Botany from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and a PGD holder in Tourism Management. He had his mandatory NYSC in Borno State where he earned recognition for Outstanding Contribution in 2003 Batch (B) Service Year. Since 2005, Nasiru has been in the employment of the Bauchi State Civil Service, serving as a teacher and later as Agric Officer II and Forestry Officer respectively under various ministries. In the past 14 years he has garnered some core competences and skills monitoring as well as decision making and communication abilities. Nasiru has attended several workshops, seminars, trainings including the Effective Learning Technique for Secondary Schools; Technology Education, Science and Mathematics Teacher in Jalingo, Taraba State in 2006, and the International Conference on Youth and Interfaith Communications, at the Jewish–Palestinian Living Room Dialogue USA in 2010. Nasiru is a member of the Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN), the Environmental Management Association of Nigeria (EMAN) and the Nigeria Union of Agriculture and Allied employees (NUAAE).
Hassan Rilwan began his career as an Assistant Lecturer with the School of Agriculture Bauchi in 1989, after the mandatory oneyear NYSC. He later joined Allied Bank and Inland Bank Plc between 1992 and 2007. He, thereafter worked with Amana Pensions Ltd and the Yankari Savings and Loans Ltd Bauchi between 2007-2011. Rilwan then moved to the Bauchi State Internal Revenue Service, and the Office of the Head of Service Bauchi State as Director Administration and Human Resources from 2011 to 2018. He is currently serving as Director Administration and Human Resources, Ministry of Finance Bauchi, Hassan Rilwan has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Bayero University Kano, and is pursuing another Masters degree in Agricultural Economics at the AbubakarTafawaBalewaUniversity Bauchi.
